Meet Steven Freedman, M.D.
Dr. Freedman graduated from Tulane University in 1981. He went on to medical school at the Tulane University School of Medicine earning his MD degree in 1985. His post graduate education includes two years at the Alton Oshsner Medical Foundation from 1985 through 1987 in general surgery. His otolaryngology degree was completed at the Tulane University School of Medicine/ Dept of Head and Neck Surgery graduating in June 1992.
He became board certified in Otolaryngology in 1993.
Dr. Freedman joined Dr. Dobbin and Ear Nose and Throat Medicine and Surgery Group in 1992. He has been a member of the medical staff at Newport Hospital since 1992. Dr. Freedman has served as a Medical Staff Officer as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and recently completed his term as Medical Staff President, serving from 2007 through 2009. Dr. Freedman is on the Board of Directors of the ENT Center of Rhode Island.
Dr. Freedman’s practice covers all areas of general ENT medicine and surgery with special interests in ears and hearing loss.
Dr. Freedman enjoys golf, skiing and tennis. He and his wife Linn have two wonderful children and make their home in Portsmouth, RI.
